Let’s Get Behind a Local Hero — and a Local Charity That’s Changing Lives

One of the best things about working and living in the northern suburbs is the amazing people we get to meet—and the incredible things they’re doing behind the scenes to support our community.

This week, I want to shine a light on a local charity that’s been making a real difference for a decade now—No Limits Perth.

A Decade of Kindness

They’ve just celebrated their 10-year anniversary, and if you’re not familiar with them yet, they’re a not-for-profit group doing truly life-changing work. Whether it’s food hampers, household essentials, furniture, or just turning up to help someone who’s lost everything, their team steps in without judgment and without expecting anything in return.

They support families fleeing domestic violence, people doing it tough financially, and those rebuilding after crisis. And they do all of this with volunteers—many of whom give up hours every week just to make someone else’s day a little brighter.

Meet Peg – A Quiet Achiever Deserving of a Big Win

One of those volunteers is Peg—No Limits Perth’s most senior team member and a powerhouse of generosity. Peg has just been named a finalist in the Westfield Whitfords Local Hero competition, and if she wins, the charity will receive a $20,000 grant to help fund training, uniforms, safety gear, and transport support for their volunteers.

To say this would make a big difference is an understatement.

But here’s the catch—they need our votes to get across the line.

Why This Means Something to Us

As someone who sees a lot of movement in our local area—new beginnings, fresh starts, and unfortunately, people doing it really tough—I can tell you that charities like No Limits Perth are the quiet force holding things together for many.

I’m proud to support them and even prouder to help spread the word about Peg’s well-deserved nomination. Let’s get behind her and make sure No Limits Perth continues to grow, serve, and change lives for another 10 years and beyond.

Thanks for reading—and even more thanks if you take a moment to vote.
